Research claims payment issues for OPPS hospitals. Pull data in Winstrat to determine why the claim was paid as it was. Use decision making skills to determine if providers have submitted adequate proof of timely filing documentation which determines if claims can be paid or not. Research billing issues to determine if the problem is within QMACS configuration or EDI related. Work with local and Corp EDI Rep’s to facilitate resolution or with the PS Analyst to resolve QMACS configuration issues. Once the problem is corrected claims data will need to be requested in order to identify the scope of the problem be it over or under payments to the providers. Use Redbook software to price and research drug reimbursement issues.  Assist Providers in dismissing or moving members incorrectly assigned to them. Educating providers so the appropriate dismissal letters are sent to Molina members.  Answer Provider phone calls that cannot be resolved by the Provider Customer Service line such as contract language and allowables. Work with hospitals and providers that have large volume claims issues. This includes pricing claims, determining denial reasons and maintaining the research on an excel log. Once the research is completed the spreadsheet can be sent back to the provider via Molina’s secure e-mail. Support external Provider Services Representatives when they are in the field to assist in claim inquiries or other questions. Must make decisions on a daily basis if providers have followed guidelines in order to proceed with adjustments and denied claim review requests.  Responsible for preparing provider denied claim review requests (DCRR) and to respond in writing with the outcome according to departmental standards. Present the DCRR’s to the Medical Director’s and to maintain the PS DCRR log. Other review requests that fall under the PS SOP’s will be handled per those procedures and logged appropriately. Assist with interdepartmental issues to help coordinate problem solving in an efficient and timely manner. Price claims for capitated groups using the Molina network providers. Cap Group research i.e. eligibility, rural health enhancements, claim responsibility.    Assist with training of new Provider Services staff members. Work with Customer Service, non-par providers and billing services to resolve balance bill issues, as well as other member complaints regarding providers.  Assist in calling specialist to ensure they will take a member after the member has been turned away from a contracted provider. Attend off site meetings when necessary with cap groups and other providers as needed.
